RDoom 2 is but a collection of resources mixed together, I take no credit over most resources only that I put them together and made the maps and the scripts. News: 28/06/2007
As the news on Project 5 says, RDoom 2 will grow once more, sharing resources with Project 5, should such worlds collide in a mixed mod?! Just look out for something new. Oh and I thought this page could do with a few screenshots... 27/06/2007
Yes, the date above's correct! I haven't done anything to RDoom 2, it's the same since 11/01/2007! But there is a reason for this update, and that's RDoom 3! Project 5 will change how newer projects will work. Project 6 will be part of Project 5, meaning that they will share resources only having their system files as seperate .pk4s. RDoom 3D! Using models from project 5 and more. Once Project 5 is complete, this will be clearified... No rest for the wicked! 11/01/2007
Finished! RDoom2 is complete! All maps are functional and the storyline goes perfectly, there are a few minor faults which will be tackled later. So what are you waiting for, go to the downloads section and get this awesome work of art! 02/01/2007 RDoom 2 is very close to being finished, with just a few maps to make, everything else is complete. There are a few minor faults but they will be fixed in patches, or not at all as other games are pushing their way into priority. 24/10/2006 RDoom 2 is progressing really well using GZDoom instead of legacy because they're taking too long and are only 'considering' decorate support. I still like legacy but can't wait any longer so I've switched to GZDoom which seems to be really good. RDoom 2 has slopes, 3d floors, FraggleScript storylines and a load of new demons with new guns to kill them with. Thanks to weapons resource wad and the creator of the Wolfenstein 3D for doom 2 for some weapon based graphics. A lot of RDoom demons come from doom absolution, just like RDoom 1. Menu:
Finished, all done! Download a copy at the downloads page.
RDoom 2 takes full advantage of FraggleScript and GZDoom features such as ramps and water, without any of these features, RDoom 2 will not work. A picture which explains the demons of RDoom 2. Note: This image will look better if you save it on your PC and view it at full size, 1024x768, quite a good desktop background.
In the past a strange power source was detected, where these subtle airwaves came from could not be found, until it found us. The research base was all of a sudden over whelmed by strange and vile creatures which had an extreme taste, for blood. No one knows who closed the 'gate' but that person was never seen again, neither were any of the researchers, well, they were, sort of, just in a few pieces! Of course, curiosity is human nature, and now technology is far better than before, thus we managed to track the source of this 'energy.' For safety reasons, a military base with a research centre beneath it was built, you are a marine belonging to this military base and you live just outside its entrance, so you are one of the first outsiders to encounter the punishment of curiosity. One day you are taking time off, about to do some gardening, getting the lawn mower out your back garden shed when suddenly, you hear some screams followed by a message on you communicator: "Code red, code red, we need every marine available to return to the base, some sort of creatures have broken loose, hang on..." you hear gun shots... "brace yourself, these, things are everywhere, we need you all, now..." the transmission breaks. You draw your pistol from your pocket and begin your journey to the base. Can you stop the second demonic invasion and ensure there won't be another, or will you lose your limbs to the jaws of a pinky demon? There's only one way to find out... See the demonology to find out about the demons used in RDoom 2.
RDoom 2 has lots of guns which are categorized: 1. Melee weapons: fist and chainsaw. 2. Pistols: Handgun, Revolver, Phaser and Proton. 3. Blast Rifles: Tactical, Shotgun, Pulse rifle and Neutron rifle. 4. Assault Rifles: Machinegun and Photon. 5. Scope Rifles: Sniper rifle and Laser rifle. 6. Launchers: Mortar, RPG - Rocket Propelled Grenade, Radion, aka BFG9000 and RPE - Rocket Propelled Electron 7. Rail Guns: Magna rifle, Graviton rifle. 8. Chainguns: Vulcan and Tennon. 9. Spray Guns: Tesla. You may notice some weird names there, but the weapons are pretty self explanatory once collected and more may be on their way if not they'll come with RDoom 3, should it be created in the future. |
