RDDR: Reaver Dragon Doom Resource

The Reaver Dragon Doom Resource

By Richard Nicholson

Full credit is NOT taken for this pack, most resources are either from other packs, converted and tweaked from games, denoted by contributors or by me myself.

At present, these files only work with GZDoom, but Legacy 2.0 support may be added, once it is complete.

About:

RDDR: Reaver Dragon Doom Resource is made for Reaver Dragon Games (Doom Mods) to use, origionally they all kept seperate data, but now newer projects can be brought together, sharing RDDR. But RDDR isn't just for RGames, not any more, I am now making this free for everyone to use, I do NOT take full credit for anything here unless said so in the file. Source files are destributed as GZDoom compatible pk3s.

Inside source files are all that GZDoom needs and some other files, for reference and for credits. These files are:

Models (.md2)

Decorate.dec (Contains a ZDoom script of how the thing works.)

ModelDef.h (Contains a script to get the model working in GZDoom.)

DoomDefs.h (Contains a script for GL lights in GZDoom.)

Sounds (Located in the Sounds\ subdirectory. .wav)

SndInfo.h (Contains a ZDoom script to get sounds working.)

Skins Textures (.png)

Credits.h (Contains the credits of the thing.)

As you may notice, there are NO sprites, that's because RDDR is 3D only, except for some system files.

System Files:

These files are required in order to use certain packs. They are in .pk4 format so that they can be batch loaded before source files (.pk3s). See the ZDoom Wiki for information on loading files with ZDoom, ZDoomGL or, what these files are designed for, GZDoom.

Summon.pk4 (Required for Creatures.)

Ammunition.pk4 (Required for Arms.)

Textures.pk4 (Not required, but RGames use it.)

Ambiance.pk4 (Not required, but RGames use it, provides ambiant sounds.)

RDDRBuilder.cfg (Doom Builder config.)

29/06/2007

You could say that I'm doing to many things at once, what with project file: The Legend of Rezex and now a resource site, but at present, RDDR and Rezex are sort of both the same project as I'm currently building RDDR to support Rezex where as, when Rezex is done, RDDR will live on to support future projects, mine, and anyone elses.

Even though this is plastered all over the place, I'll say it again: Files from RDDR are from somewhere else, RDDR only collects them, the credits for each individual file is located within the file. (Pk3s and pk4s are zip files, so to open them, treat them like zips. Use WinZip or WinRAR for example, or download PakScape.exe, see the downloads page.)

There's not much up yet, but this is more because of space limit than production. Be sure to download the systems files that are needed to use certain files, such as creatures won't work without Summon.pk4, system files are located above, also soon to provide a Doom Builder Config which has everything in it, including things which aren't online yet, so use it with heed.
