The Gateway To Hell

Thanks to ID Software for Doom itself, the creators of Doom64 Absolution for graphics and sounds and Team TNT for the mus lumps and gfx from the TNT.wad file.

RDoom uses the Doom Legacy console, the download comes with the legacy engine and batch files so you can play straight away. You need the Doom2.wad for its wall textures and for legal reasons.

The demons have finally managed to create a gateway from hell to earth seeking nothing but destruction and pain, only one marine survives and that marine is not the sort a demon would want to mess with!

So what does RDoom mean, well the full name of this game is, Resurrection of Doom: The Gateway To Hell, but if you search the web, you'll find jDoom, ZDoom, etc, so now there's RDoom!

The story:

You are a reinforcement marine, one of many, however you are given a solo mission to clear out the test labs starting at the place where the 'error' was first discovered.

The error remains top secret, but it reveals itself rather quickly.

You are set to clear out the test labs while the rest of the reinforcements head into battle, as you turn to take a last glance at your mates, you see a large hellish creature ripping their heads of and eating them like you would eat Nesquik cereal!

Using legacy's 3d floors, moving floors and water you can swim in, RDoom takes full advantage of the great legacy console.
